Tens of thousands of people have all over the world have chosen Phuket to live on. This paradise island tantalizes with its wonderful climate and smiling faces. The living quality and the cost of lifestyle is well acceptable to people from the west and living here adds greater value to life than any other place in the world.  

Political situation in Thailand is stable except some riots in Bangkok and near the border of Thailand and Malaysia and sometimes near Thailand/Cambodia borderline. But these as a rule do not influence the life on Phuket.

For studying, attending seminars, conferences, courses; to study to become a foreign Buddha monk (Visa type ED) 

To work as a film producer, journalist or reporter (Visa type M) 

To take part in the work of missionaries or in any other spiritual activity in collaboration with Thai ministries and Government Department (Visa type R) 

To carry out scientific research and learning or teaching at scientific research institutes (Visa type RS) 

To work as a specialist or expert in special fields that require special knowledge (Visa type EX) 

Other activities (Visa type O) that include visiting family members, helping healthcare and other enterprises, being an old age pensioner, getting medical care, working as a sports trainer with Thai Government, being a witness at a lawsuit. 

In addition to useful documents to get a tourist visa one has to enclose necessary documents corresponding the type of visa that testify attendance above spheres. 

Validity: 

Validity of a single and multiple entrance visa is three months. One can pursue a visa for a year to enter many times. With the visa you can stay in the country for 3 months at a time if there are no other Immigrant Office demands. 

Diplomatic Visa 

Diplomatic Visa is given to employees and members of their families of foreign consular representations and international organizations. To get the visa one has to have adequate official documents from the ministry of foreign affairs off the country or international organizations. 

Courtesy Visa 

In case of inter-state convention Thai Government can issue a visa of thanks to diplomats and officials who want to carry out official assignments or other operations in Thailand. One must have necessary appropriate official documents from the ministry of foreign affairs or international organizations to get a visa.
